A Tribute to Tradition: The Meaning of "Gokujo Morohaku"
"Gokujo" literally means "Ultimate," and "Morohaku" is a historical Edo-period term referring to a premium brewing method where both the Koji rice and Kake rice are polished to pure white. Takagi Shuzo revived this ancient name to represent their pursuit of perfection. By blending two legendary rice varieties—Hyogo Special A Yamadanishiki (for Koji) and the rare Aiyama (for the mash)—they have created a Junmai Daiginjo that combines the structure of a king with the elegance of a queen.
Flavor Profile: Powerful & Velvety
Thanks to the "Aiyama" rice, this bottle offers a unique, juicy sweetness reminiscent of ripe strawberries and musk melon. The texture is fuller and more velvety than standard Daiginjos, yet it finishes with the signature clean snap (Kire) of Juyondai. It is a powerful yet perfectly balanced experience.
