Produced by Kiyasho Shuzo in Mie Prefecture, the brewery was founded in 1818. However, the brand "Jikon" is a relatively modern masterpiece created by the 6th generation heir, Tadayoshi Onishi. The name "Jikon" implies "Living in the present moment" (Do not dwell on the past or worry about the future).
